How to Get to Leixlip

From Dublin:

Exit M50 at junction 7 N4 (Galway/Sligo) and drive westbound on the N4 for approximately 6km until you reach Junction 5 just after Spa Hotel. Exit N4 at Junction 5 turning right over the N4 and follow signs towards Leixlip village passing the Springfield Hotel and Salmon Leap pub on your left and passing over the river Liffey arriving on the Main Street.

From Maynooth:

Take R148 from Maynooth passing Carton House, Intel, Louisa Bridge Train Station and Leixlip Garda Station (all on your left). Continue past Leixlip Garda Station down into Leixlip Village past Our Lady's Nativity church (on your right). Once past the church the road bears sharp left over the river Rye and leads directly onto the Main Street.

Parking:

There is a car park just off the Main street at the Spar which usually has spaces free. There is also parking along the Main Street as well as at the Ryevale Tavern on the Maynooth side of the village. All car parking in the village is pay and display at a cost of €1:20/hr.

Public Transport

Bus:

Dublin Bus Route 66, 66B and 66A all stop in Leixlip village. The first bus stop after crossing the Liffey is the most convenient to alight (Bus stop No. 3957).

Train:

The Maynooth train from Connolly Station stops at both Confy and Louisa Bridge stations. Confy is the closest to Lexilip Main Street. Exit Confy Station in the direction of Captains Hill. Walk approximately 1km descending Captains Hill. At the bottom of Captains Hill, turn right onto the Main Street.
